当社が管理している築190年の古民家「山姥」は、7月度も多種多様なお客様をお迎え致しました。

Today’s topic is ‘Brand-new utilities of the Japanese traditional house’.

A various kind of customers came to Yamanba which is the hostel under our management in July.

I would like to read this article for people who want to read books in a quiet place, who serch a place for events or who is interested in Japanese traditional house.

 

A Field Learning Program For Finding Solutions Of Local Matters

At first, I introduce guests from Tokyo. They were participants of the business program called ‘Local Co-creation College’. Its purpose is to study how urban people realize solutions for local matters. I think its interesting concept is not only to learn theory but also to co-create own indivisual project with the program organizers. In addition, every participant visited the advanced local cities where they were interested, and they met and communicated to local people. In Kamiyama, RELATION inc. supported their field study, and we appreciate to cooperation of Kamiyama’s people.

At Yamanba, we had a barbeque party with participants and the members of Kamiyama local branding school. Although it was rainy, we enjoyed it under the roof at the wood deck in the large garden area.

On the final day of study tour, we organized an evaluation meeting at the main house. Participants of this program usually work for each company, so their backgrounds are different each other. I was really interestied in their diversity because their opinion was so unique.

 

Learning Chiropractic At The Japanese Traditional House.

Next, a couple running chiropractic clinic in Kamiyama organized a chiropractic camp at Yamanba. Not only its teacher but also almost of all participants were from out of Tokushima prefeture. Around ten participants learned chiropractic with human models, and stretched in the large room of the main house. In the quiet environment, we can concentrate to study and relax.

In the night time, they enjoyed grilling a block of tuna and heatin the Goemon bath. These activities are definitely strong points of Yamanba! And also, we served dinner for them. This time’s main was Handa somen which is Japanese thin noodle made with flour. This time was good opportunity to introduce Tokushima’s orginal taste because almost of all guest were from out of the Shikoku area.

 

Nature In The Japanese Rural Area Is Fascinating. What Can We Use For?

Every guest of Yamanba said “Here is absolutely nice!”.
There is not any noises like cars or construction work.
There is just natural sounds such as the voices of birds and bugs, and trembling leaves in the breeze.
This environment is supposed to be appropriate for reading, drawing and composing poems.I don’t feel inconvinient to stay here at all because of the fiber internet. To be honest, I really want to play shogi at the wood deck of main house, which is Japanese chess. Actually, I am not good at shogi lol.

I recommend to stay here and feel the difference of environment.

 

地域課題解決への実践の場

まずは、7月8日から3日間滞在された東京からのお客様を紹介します。
都市部にて、地域との共創関係を創っていくための理論を身に付ける学習プログラム、「地域共創カレッジ」に参加している皆様です。
理論を座学で学ぶだけでなく、運営サイドと共に、参加者の個人プロジェクトを創りあげていく所がこのプログラムの特徴。島根県海士町や宮城県女川町などの地方創生先進地域を視察し、現地で活動されている方たちとの交流も行います。
徳島県神山町では、町内で生活されている方たちのご協力を頂き、当社が現地視察のお手伝いをさせて頂きました。

古民家「山姥」では、共創カレッジ参加者の皆様を囲ってバーベキューを行い、当社の社員や神山塾KATALOGコースのメンバーと交流を深めました。生憎の雨模様でしたが、中庭に屋根の付いているウッドデッキがありますので、天候を気にせずバーベキューを楽しめました。

現地視察の最終日には、広い母屋の一室を利用して視察の振り返りを行いました。「地域共創カレッジ」に参加されている方たちは、普段は一般の社会人であるため、プログラムに参加した動機や着眼点はそれぞれ異なります。思いもよらない意見が出て、多様性のおもしろさを感じました。

古民家で整体を学ぶ

続いて、神山町内で整体堂を営んでいらっしゃるご夫婦が、山姥を利用して整体の合宿をコーディネートされました。講師の先生をはじめ、多くの方が徳島県外からお越しになりました。
10名近くの参加者がいらっしゃいましたが、模型を使って講習をしたり、身体を伸ばしたり、広い母屋をいっぱいに使われていました。静かな自然環境の中では、集中力も上がりますし、身体を動かすのも気持ちが良いですね！

夜には整体の講習だけではなく、バーベキューセットで鰹の藁焼きを調理されたり、五右衛門風呂を沸かしたり、山姥ならではの楽しみ方をされていました。
夕食も提供させて頂き、徳島名物の半田素麺を楽しんで頂きました。
四国外からお越し頂きましたので、徳島の味に親しんで頂くきっかけになったと思います。

 

都市部にはない自然の環境。どう活用するか。

山姥を利用したお客様は、皆口を揃えて 「すごく良い場所」 と仰ってくれます。
都市部で当たり前のように聞こえる車の通る音や工事の音は、ここでは聞こえてきません。
聞こえるのは鳥や虫の鳴き声、風で揺れる葉の音です。
穏やかな自然の中で、ゆっくり読書をするのも良いですし、絵画や詩歌などの創作活動にも適しているかもしれません。インターネット環境も整備してありますので、長期間滞在しても、不便さは感じません。個人的には、えんがわでゆっくりと将棋を指してみたいです。将棋はあまり得意ではありませんが(笑)。
