すっかり秋も深まり、そろそろ衣替えをしようか、いやまだ大丈夫か、と思案している短パン好きの穴井です(笑)。
今回は、当社が利活用している古民家「山姥(やまんば)」がある神山町阿川地区について、ご紹介します。

昨年の12月から阿川地区に関わり始めた穴井ですが、冬の時季の出不精が災いしてか、あまり地区内を歩いて回ることはしませんでした。
散歩を楽しむには、すごく良い時季になったのと、神山塾KATALOGコースのメンバーが1ヶ月間を掛けて製作した山姥周辺地図 「阿ノ地(あのち)」 が完成したので、これはいい機会だと思い、改めて阿川地区を散策することにしました。
10月16日に開催された阿川地区の運動会に参加した後、小雨がポツポツと降る中、1時間弱の散歩に出掛けました！

Good morning!

I believe that the autumn is the best season in Japan to enjoy activities such as reading, sports and camping.
This time I would like to introduce a map of Agawa area in Kamiyama town. The map is produced by the KATALOG course of Kamiyamajuku, which name is “A-No-Ti”. Actually, I had stayed in Agawa area for four months. However, I did not walk around there when I lived in Agawa area. This is because it was too cold to do in winter.
It was good opportunity for walking around Agawa area, so I decided it with Anoti map.

Seek For A Stone Bath

Have you ever been to Agawa area?  There are over 16,000 plum trees and supposed to be the largest plum area in Shikoku. And also, many scarerows are set around there made by local group of Agawa area. Because of its elaboration, I often make a mistake them for real human beings lol.

The number of stone bath is two in Agawa area. I did not know where they were at the moment. I thought it was good opportunity to find it with Anoti map. Honestly, I am not good at orienteering, so I was anxious to be there directly lol.

 

Yotsugi community is upon the south of the traditional Japanese house “Yamanba”. I felt the passage of the season when I saw the fruits of yuzu citrus on the roadside. Even though Yotsugi community is in Agawa area, it is at the higher sea level than the other area. I recommend you to look down there because it is a good viewing point as a Japanese traditional mountain village.

It takes about an hour to be there on foot. I was so tired by many uphills lol, and finally I found it after asking where it is to a local person. The stone bath was recorded to be used by a princess of Awa clan during the Edo period. It is actually preserved by Kamiyama town, and sometimes people visit to see it from Tokushima city.

 

Cheerful Atmosphere, They Like Strangers

On the backing way from the stone bath, some people spoke to me. This experiense makes me feel that Agawa area has cheerful atmosphere, and also they like strangers. I was told about a water turbine near a small bridge, which moves like making a rice cake by water flow from the river. The turbine was made by her husband with some parts of his bicycle. This object is so unique that a local TV station has broadcasted about it.

 

Though I had a just short chat with a neighbor, she gave me many persimmons. I and friends who are trainees of both of Monosus inc. and RELATION  inc. enjoyed them at Yamanba. We prepared to take an event which was going to be taken at the end of October.

 

A Little Bit Unusual Time

I always moved by a car in Agawa area before. Walking experiense showed me another scenery which was the passage of season and gave me good opportunities to exchange with local people. I feel getting used to Agawa area because many local people remember about me. I hope that I make a contribution for continuous of RELATION inc. work in Kamiyama town.

神山町の文化財、石風呂を求めて

神山町に関わるみなさんは、阿川地区を訪れたことがありますか？

阿川地区は、四国最大級の梅の里として知られ、
春には約16,000本の梅の花が咲き、多くの観光客が訪れます。
また、地区内には町民グループが製作している案山子が数多く設置されており、その完成度の高さで景観に溶け込んでいます。

阿川地区に2箇所あるといわれる石風呂。 この日までどこにあるのか知らず、現物を見たことがありませんでした。
良い機会なので、石風呂を目指すことにします！  方向音痴の穴井、不安を抱えながらの出発です(笑)。

古民家「山姥」を山側に南へ上っていくと、代次(よつぎ)という集落があります。 道中の柚子がたわわに実っている様子を見ると、季節の変わり目を感じます。 同じ阿川地区といえども、かなりの標高差があり、山間地域ならではの壮大な景観も楽しむことができます。

坂道に息を上げながら歩くこと1時間。
少し迷って近所の方に道を尋ねながら、なんとか到着することができました。 江戸時代、阿波藩の姫君が石風呂を訪れ、病気の療養をしていたとの記録も残っているそうです。
神山町の文化財に指定されていることもあり、徳島市内から石風呂の見学に訪れる方もいるそうです。

 

明るい方が多い阿川地区、気軽に声を掛けられる

石風呂からの帰り道、いろんな方に声を掛けられました。 阿川地区はお話好きな方が多く、明るい雰囲気をもっています。 ある橋の近くでは、川から水を引いて製作した水車について話を聞きました。
なんでも、ご近所の旦那さんが自転車の部品を使ってこしらえたもので、水車が回ると、ウサギが餅つきをします。 ウサギがかわいらしく、テレビ局も取材に来たことがあるそうです。

少し立ち話をしただけなのに、柿をたくさん頂きました。
ちょうど月末のイベントに向けて、ものさす塾生や神山塾生が山姥で広報物を製作中だったので、みんなでおいしくいただきました。

 

歩いて感じる、普段とは違う時間

これまでは車で移動することが多かった阿川地区ですが、歩いて散策したことで、季節の移り変わりを自然から感じたり、今まで話したことのなかった地区の方と話す機会をつくれました。
阿川地区の運動会に参加させて頂いたり、運動会で振舞うカレーの仕込みをお手伝いしたり。 徐々に地域の方たちに顔を覚えてもらえています。
阿川地区で継続して会社の活動ができるように、今後も少しずつ関係性を温めていこうと思います。
